Lane Scott holds a PhD from the School of Politics and Economics at Claremont Graduate University. She lives on a ranch with her husband and five children ages 7-18 in the California Gold Country where they raise beef, pork, poultry, lamb, and acres of gardens. Her teen sons apprentice in the trades for the family construction business, and her husband runs a commercial furniture company celebrating over 100 years in American manufacturing.
